On Monday, 22 July, The Service of the Mega Minima (Formal Election Announcement) of the new Regional Bishops (Chorepiskopoi) of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, who were recently elected by the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, was held in the Church of Saint Spyridon, in Kingsford, Sydney.
During the Service, the election of the new Regional Bishops (Chorepiskopoi), His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Perth, His Grace Bishop Silouan of Adelaide, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne, His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Chora and His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane, was announced in the church, and Their Graces responded with the text of Thanksgiving, accepting the “mandate”.
Present also were His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, clergy of the Holy Archdiocese, members of the Archdiocesan Council, as well as many pious faithful, all of whom, after the end of the Service, congratulated Their Graces the Regional Bishops and wished them well accordingly.
