His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia had the pleasure of welcoming the President, Mrs. Liana Vertzayias and a delegation of members from the Committee of the Hellenic Lyceum of Sydney to the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.
The members of the Hellenic Lyceum expressed their love and respect to the Archbishop, and, in light of the Christmas holidays and the beginning of the new year, they offered him warm wishes for health, strength and blessings from above.
His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, after similarly returning the warm wishes, spoke with words of gratitude for the long-term contribution of the Hellenic Lyceum of Sydney to the Greek faithful and the Orthodox Church of Australia.
Finally, His Eminence discussed the upcoming celebrations of the Centenary of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia with the Hellenic Lyceum delegation and the visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the fifth continent for this celebration.
