His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia during the remaining feast days of the twelve days of Christmas will make pastoral visits to New South Wales and Victoria according to the following schedule:

Saturday, 31st December 2022

Eve of the Feast day of St Basil the Great

His Eminence will officiate at the service of Vespers in the chapel of St Basil located in the aged care facility of “St Basil’s” in Lakemba (130 Croydon St, Lakemba). The service will begin at 4:00pm and the cutting of the Vasilopita (New Year’s cake) will follow.

Sunday, 1st January 2023

The Feast day of the Circumcision of our Lord and St Basil the Great

His Eminence will officiate at the service of Matins and preside over the Divine Liturgy at the Church of St Nicholas, Marrickville, from 7:30am.

Monday, 2nd January 2023

The cutting of the Vasilopita at the see of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia at 6:30pm.

Pastoral visit to Melbourne from the 3rd to the 6th January 2023

Wednesday, 4th January 2023

The cutting of the Vasilopita at the offices of the Holy Archdiocese for the clergy and faithful of the Archdiocesan District of Northcote at 4:00pm.

Thursday, 5th January 2023

His Eminence will officiate at the service of Matins and the Great Hours and will preside over the Divine Liturgy of St Basil at the Church of St Eustathios, South Melbourne, from 7:30am.

Friday, 6th January 2023

The Holy Epiphany and Baptism of Christ

His Eminence will officiate at the service of Matins and preside over the Divine Liturgy at the Church of The Holy Epiphany, Frankston, from 8:30am.

Blessing of the Waters and the immersion of the Holy Cross at Frankston Pier at 1:00pm.
