On Saturday, 29 March 2025, as part of the pastoral visit of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia to Victoria, a Priestly Synaxis of the clergy serving in the Holy Dioceses of Melbourne and Chora was held.
The Synaxis, which was hosted in the hall of the Archdiocesan Church of St. Eustathios, was presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and was attended by His Eminence Metropolitan Ezekiel of Dervis, His Grace Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and Southern Madagascar and the local Bishops, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne and His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Chora.
Among the topics discussed was the missionary work being carried out in Madagascar, about which His Grace Bishop Prodromos also offered detailed information. Issues of inter-Orthodox relations were also discussed, as well as administrative issues, for which the Archbishop provided the appropriate guidance.
Finally, wishes were exchanged between the Chief Shepherd, the other Hierarchs and the holy Clergy for the remainder of Holy and Great Lent and the feast of the Resurrection of our Lord.
