Archbishop Makarios of Australia meets with the staff of the Holy Archdiocese in a familial gathering

Staff 7

On Monday, 23 December, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia warmly welcomed to his Office the administrative staff serving at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese, in Sydney. This was a warm and familial meeting of the Archbishop with his co-workers, which has been established in recent years, on the eve of the great feast of Christmas and the coming of the New Year.

His Eminence, in the presence of His Grace Bishop Christodoulos of Magnesia, Chief Secretary of the Holy Eparchial Synod, and Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne Christophoros Krikelis, Chancellor of the Holy Archdiocese, extended warm thanks to all members of the staff for their long-standing contribution to the multifaceted work of the local Church, and in particular for their response to this year’s increased demands in organising the Archdiocese anniversary celebrations for its centenary. His Eminence also offered them a gift, as a sign of his appreciation and gratitude for their dedication to the mission of the Holy Archdiocese.

Words of thanks were also delivered by His Grace Bishop Christodoulos of Magnesia and the Chancellor Father Christophoros, praising their kind and productive cooperation with all members of the staff.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of Christmas wishes and with His Eminence blessing everyone paternally, praying for their health and for the strengthening of the spirit of unity and like-mindedness which governs the pillars of the work carried out by the local Church.
