On Thursday, 7 March, the Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Greece, Mr. Yannis Moschos visited the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, in Sydney.
Mr. Moschos, after touring and venerating the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of Our Lady, was then received by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, with whom he had a friendly and fruitful conversation.
The discussion focused on issues related to the life of the Greek Community in Australia, with an emphasis on artistic and cultural activity in general, while His Eminence provided Mr. Moschos with extensive information regarding the presence and work of the Orthodox Church, the planned events for the 100th anniversary of its foundation, as well as for the upcoming Apostolic Visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, with which the anniversary celebrations will culminate.
At the end of the fruitful meeting, Archbishop Makarios thanked the Artistic Director of the National Theatre for his visit to the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese, while he wished for him to draw strength and enlightenment from Above during the undertaking of his responsible duties and for the common spiritual benefit of the historical cultural organisation and the Greek people as a whole.
