His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, received with great emotion and spiritual joy, at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia in Sydney, the Deputy Government Spokesperson of the Republic of Cyprus, Ms. Doxa Komodromou, accompanied by the High Commissioner of Cyprus to Australia, Mr. Antonios Sammoutis.
During the meeting, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios had the opportunity to be informed about the progress of the Cyprus issue and to convey to the Deputy Government Spokesperson the anguish of the Cypriots living in Australia, who are around 100,000 people, to achieve a fair solution of peaceful coexistence, as soon as possible.
Ms. Komodromou then thanked His Eminence Archbishop Makarios for what he is doing while fighting for Cyprus and also conveyed wishes and gifts both from the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nikolaos Christodoulidis and by His Beatitude Archbishop Georgios of New Justiniana and all Cyprus.
