On Thursday, 12 June 2025, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, held a meeting with the Minister of Health of Greece, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis.
Mr. Georgiadis warmly welcomed His Eminence to his Office, at the Ministry of Health, where they discussed issues of common interest, focusing particularly on the life of the Greek Community and the ministry of the Orthodox Church in Australia.
Given the opportunity, Archbishop Makarios also personally thanked the Minister for his honorary presence at the recent ceremony of his proclamation as an Honorary Doctor of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Finally, he wished Mr. Georgiadis health, strength and every success in his responsible duties in the crucial sector of Health.
In return, the Minister wished His Eminence a smooth continuation of his pastoral ministry, for the benefit of Hellenism and the Orthodox Church of the fifth continent.
