On Monday, 13 November 2023, in the context of the pastoral visit of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia in the capital of South Australia, a Priestly Synaxis of the clergy of the Archdiocesan District of Adelaide took place, at the Holy Cathedral of Saint Sophia (The Wisdom of God), with the presence of the local Archiepiscopal Vicar, His Grace Bishop Silouan of Sinope, and His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis.
His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia spoke to the gathered clergy about the life, work and virtues of Saint John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, who is celebrated on that day. He particularly focused and delved into the ecclesiology, theology and missionary activity of Saint Chrysostom, while answering relevant questions raised by the clergy.
Also, during the Synaxis, practical and administrative issues were discussed.
