Father Eleftherios Tatsis has been placed on suspension

Announcement

Our Holy Archdiocese recently informed its faithful about the attitude and behaviour of Fr Eleftherios Tatsis, detailing the events that took place in the last few months as well as some indicative public stances that document his sad deviation from Church canons and from an Orthodox ethos and mindset. Fr Eleftherios’ subsequent actions, some of which he himself has made public, show a recurrence and leave no room for either His Eminence Archbishop Makarios or the Church to further exercise ecclesiastical economy and to be tolerant. For this reason, Fr Eleftherios Tatsis was placed on suspension today, the 5th of October of this year, and dismissed from his duties.

We inform the faithful of the Church that from this point forth, every service and every sacrament that possibly may be performed by the said clergyman does not have validity and is not recognised either by the Holy Archdiocese of Australia or by the rest of the Orthodox Church in any part of the world.
