His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia formally visited the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens during his short visit to the Greek capital on the occasion of his participation in a round table regarding the Ukrainian issue.
His Eminence Archbishop Makarios received a warm welcome from Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Office and representative of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Athens, with whom, in fact, he had a special meeting and discussion on matters of common interest and mainly on the course of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia and the witness of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, through it, in the fifth continent.
The two Hierarchs spoke with infinite admiration and great gratitude for the person of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and wished God to strengthen him in his difficult task.
