
His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia is currently conducting a three-day pastoral visit to the Holy Diocese of Adelaide. On Friday, 12 September, His Eminence arrived in the capital of South Australia, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Miletoupolis, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Saint George of the Mountain, and Deacon Timotheos.
At Adelaide Airport, His Eminence was welcomed by His Grace Bishop Silouan of Adelaide, together with local clergy and distinguished members of the Greek community.
It is noted that, during his stay in Adelaide, Archbishop Makarios will preside over a Priestly Synaxis, will celebrate the consecration of the Church of St. Andrew and will preside over the Feast of the newly established Parish of the Holy Cross. At the same time, he will meet with the Consul General of Greece in Adelaide, Ms. Alexandra Theodoropoulou, as well as with other leaders and representatives of the Greek community.
