On Sunday, 21 January, at the Church of Saint Eustathios, in Melbourne, the Annual Memorial Service of the late Zacharo Anastasiadou was held, the sister of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who was represented by their brother, Mr. Nikolaos Archontonis, after his wife, Katerina.
The Memorial Service was presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, who was joined by Their Graces, Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea, Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta and Bishop Themistocles of Nicopolis (Patriarchate of Alexandria).
At the end, His Eminence offered condolences to Mr. Archontonis, on behalf of the entire Christian plenitude of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, and prayed for God to rest the noble soul of his blessed sister with the Saints and the Righteous.
Concluding, His Eminence conveyed to the Bishops, the clergy and the faithful who attended the service, the blessings and love of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
