The popular and acclaimed performer Ms. Stella Konitopoulou was welcomed by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia on Monday, 8 January, at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese in Sydney.
The Greek singer greatly brightened the Epiphany Greek Festival with her participation and performance, which was organised by the Holy Archdiocese of Australia at Carss Bush Park in Sydney.
Archbishop Makarios thanked her warmly on behalf of the local Church, as well as on behalf of the thousands of Greeks who travelled back within their minds to their homeland through the songs performed by Ms. Konitopoulou.
Moreover, during the friendly and cordial discussion that developed, Archbishop Makarios informed the artist about the life of the Church and the Greek community of the fifth continent, and the activities and work carried out by the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, as well as for the celebration, this year, of the 100 years since its foundation.
Finally, His Eminence wished Ms. Konitopoulou health, strength and every blessing from God, so as to continue serving the Greek musical tradition consistently and reverently.
